What is this "Text It!" feature all about?
       This new feature in Bax allows you to send text messages to the cellular phones of your friends. Just like you use your cell phone to send text messages, now you can use our website to do the same. Usually, messages are delivered within seconds.

What are the advantages of using Bax instead of my cell?
       Many! First of all. you might get charged a fee for sending messages by your provider. How about the people who don't have a cell but want to send you a quick note? And don't forget, it's faster to type on a computer! Last but not least, imagine that you are in Haiti and you want to send your friend in Canada a quick message. Yeah, I bet this saves you 20 dollars!

Ahhhh! Great points! So how do I use it?
       It's pretty simple. In the upper box, you enter the phone number (area code first) of your friend. You should not put space or hyphen (-) between the numbers. Just stack it all up. For example if your friend's number is 123-4567 with the area code is 258, then in the first box, you would enter 2581234567. Now in the second box, the one below, you simply enter your message. When you are done, press the send button. A new page will load to confirm the status of your text message.

To whom can I send messages?
       Any mobile phone user with text messaging enabled can receive text messages. Text messaging is free with some mobile telephone providers, and fee-based on others. Currently, the system works only in North America (Canada, US, Caribbean, Hawaii, Guam).

Can I Text Message people in Haiti?
       Unfortunately, no. The problem is that no cellular phone provider in Haiti currently implements text messaging features. But as soon that they make it possible, you will be able to send them texts! Our system is already configured and waiting on them!

There is no box for me to enter my name! How will my friend know that I was the one to send him a message?
       Be Happy! We took care of that for you. Since you can only send messages when you are logged on the site, the text message will be sent to your friend using the following format: username@baxfamily.com . For example if your username is "ilovebax" then the message you send will be from ilovebax@baxfamily.com

How much does it cost?
       The use of the Bax Text Message service is 100% free. The only requirement is to be a member of the site. Please note that the recipient's cellular service provider may charge him to receive short mail, email or SMS messages, depending on his plan. Our service, however, is free to use.

What about privacy? Is it safe? Do you guys read/monitor the messages?
       No, the text messages are not stored in any way on our servers. They are sent instantly. Also, we DO NOT store, sell any mobile numbers.

That's pretty Cool!!! Are there any future plans?
       Of course! There will be many add-ons to the system:

Provide all our users with a @baxfamily.com address which connects directly to their cell phone. Imagine that you send me a text message via Bax right now. I will not be able to reply to your message unless I know you cell phone number! Therefore, we will tackle this problem by linking your Bax address directly to your cell phone. And if you don't have one, then it will be linked to your Bax Private Message box. Note that we will are not planning on giving mailboxes to receive emails but a forwarding services to your cell. So it will be more like a virtual address.
We will also allow our users to send each other text messages without requiring them to know the phone number of their "co-Baxer". Just select the username of a person in Bax and start sending them messages (if they allow it).
